What is the Difference?
- Blind Transferring: This involves transferring a call directly to another destination without announcing the caller. The call will ring at the destination immediately after you initiate the transfer.
- Attended Transferring: This method allows you to transfer a call to another destination with an opportunity to first speak with the recipient. It’s useful for providing context or information about the call before completing the transfer.
Blind Transferring a Call
- While on an active call, press the “Transfer” key.
- Dial the destination number. This could be an internal extension or an external phone number.
- Press the “Transfer” or “B. Transfer” button to complete the transfer.
Attended/Guided Transferring a Call
- While on an active call, press the “Transfer” key.
- Dial the destination number, either an extension or an external number.
- Wait for the call to begin ringing.
- Once connected, you can converse with the recipient while the original caller is on hold.
- To complete the transfer, press the “Transfer” button.
- If you need to cancel the transfer, press the “End Call” button either while it is ringing or after connection.
Transferring Calls Directly to Voicemail
- To transfer a call directly to another person’s voicemail, you can use a Blind Transfer method.
- When you receive a call that you want to transfer to voicemail, initiate a Blind Transfer.

followed by the user’s extension number (03ext) - The call will be sent directly to the specified voicemail box, allowing the caller to leave a message.
